Adobe Cloud - Toll oder doch eher kritisch zu sehen?

Dort wurde am 8.2. folgendes veröffentlicht:

So... I get a phone call this morning from +40 853 611 77 at 8:45am eastern time. Guess who?

The Adobe rep had our company's account info up on her computer and is asking why we haven't made the move to creative cloud. I go on, in great length and detail, to calmly explain our thoughts on the death of the perpetual license and how the subscription plan isn't something our company is interested in taking part in.

Her reply "You have upgraded each and every time since CS2. So... Your company NEEDS creative cloud."

I asked her if she was a video editor. She didn't answer.

I asked her if she was a graphic designer. She didn't answer.

I asked her if she was a motion graphics artist. She finally answered with a "No, I am not."

I then said... "Then how do you know what my company does and doesn't need?"

She was pretty much dead in the water at this point... I went on.

"We need software that we own. That's what we need. We need to ALWAYS have access to our work without paying an Adobe bill from here until eternity. That is what we need."

Her response.. "So do you think that you will be moving to Creative Cloud?"

My fellow creatives... this is what we are dealing with. I honestly think that the fact Adobe is now calling everyone that hasn't signed up yet is a sign that they are taking notice. They are noticing that we vote with our dollars. Keep holding out.

I'll be at NAB this spring and I plan to spend a good portion of my time at the Adobe booth... grilling them on what is happening face to face.

Ich wäre ja schon neugierig, wie sich hier die deutschen Universitäten verhalten. Die Aussage von dieser Uni scheint ziemlich eindeutig zu sein. Lieber CS6 kaufen und damit unterrichten, als die CLoud, so wie sie momentan vertrieben wird zu nutzen.
